Abstract
At the first part of its eighth session, the Ad Hoc Group on the Berlin Mandate (AGBM) considered the issue of greenhouse gas sinks in the context of quantified emission limitation and reduction objectives (QELROs) (FCCC/AGBM/1997/8). At the same part of the session, Parties were invited to submit views on this topic by 12 November 1997. The secretariat was requested to compile these submissions into a miscellaneous document. Eight such submissions have been received. In accordance with the procedure for miscellaneous documents, these submissions are attached and are reproduced in the language in which they were received and without formal editing
