Abstract
The intention of the present note is to provide the Committee with information and suggestions on how to approach the first review of the adequacy of commitments in Article 4.2(a) and (b) (hereafter referred to as "review of the adequacy of commitments"). Section II outlines the working hypothesis for the scope of the review on which the interim secretariat has based the content of this note. Section III describes the various inputs to the review of the adequacy of commitments. Section IV presents possible options available to the COP for responding to the outcome of such a review
