Abstract
The Conference of the Parties, by its decision 10/CP.2, requested the secretariat to make available to the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI), at each of its sessions, details of the financial support made available to Parties not included in Annex I to the Convention (non?Annex I Parties) by the Global Environment Facility (GEF), as an entity entrusted with the operation of the financial mechanism for the preparation of their initial communications, including projects in this regard proposed by each Party, the funding decisions and the date and amount of funds made available to the Party (FCCC/CP/1996/15/Add.1 para. 1 (b)). The SBI, at its tenth session, asked the secretariat to request the GEF secretariat to make available the dates of disbursement of funds for enabling activity projects for the preparation of initial national communication by non-Annex I Parties (FCCC/SBI/1999/8 para. 32 (b)). The attached table contains information obtained from the secretariat of the GEF and includes the date of disbursement, as requested by the SBI
