Abstract
The financial procedures of the Convention stipulate that "an interim statement of accounts for the first year of the financial period shall be provided to the Conference of the Parties during the second year of the period" (FCCC/CP/1995/7/Add.1, decision 15/CP.1, annex I, para. 19). The unaudited financial statements for the biennium 2000-2001, as at 31 December 2000, are attached as an annex to this covering note. They are reproduced as received without formal editing
