Abstract
The annex to this note contains the legal opinion of the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs on the appropriate arrangements that might be entered into between the COP and the GEF. The legal opinion is based on the "Instrument for the establishment of the restructured GEF" accepted by the Participants in the GEF at Geneva on 16 March 1994 and subsequently adopted by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the World Bank
