Abstract
Represents work in progress at the end of the second part of the Conference of the Parties at its sixth session (COP 6). Based on the text contained in document FCCC/CP/2000/5/Add.3 (Vol.V), using the consolidated negotiating text on mechanisms proposed by the President (FCCC/CP/2001/2/Add.2) as a tool and fully taking into account the Core elements for the implementation of the Buenos Aires Plan of Action (FCCC/CP/2001/L.7) emanating from the High-Level segment, the text also incorporates the results of extensive work in two drafting groups chaired by Mr.José Miguez (Brazil) and Mr.Murray Ward (New Zealand)
