Abstract
In response to the above mandate, this note describes the experience with the second round of in-depth reviews, mainly of second national communications. In this regard, it describes the attributes of reviews and the associated reports and also notes those aspects which assisted or hindered the review process. This raises a number of issues which may be taken into account when giving consideration to the in-depth reviews of third national communications from Annex I Parties, due by 30 November 2001. The note addresses ways in which the review process could be enhanced, including ways that may reduce delays in the publication of in-depth review reports
