Abstract
The Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA), at its sixteenth session, reaffirmed the need for a work programme that would promote cooperation and facilitate the implementation of Article 6 of the Convention. The SBSTA took note of a draft decision on this subject (FCCC/SBSTA/2002/L.11/Add.1/Rev.1) and agreed to consider this draft further at its seventeenth session for possible adoption by the Conference of the Parties at its eighth session. Parties were invited to submit, by 20 August 2002, their views on the draft decision to the secretariat (FCCC/SBSTA/2002/6, para. 55 (l)). The secretariat has received nine submissions from Parties (see FCCC/SBSTA/2002/MISC.21). The secretariat has also received a submission from Climate Action Network. In accordance with standard procedures, this submission is attached in the language in which it was received and without formal editing
